The fifteenth China International Environmental Protection Exhibition and Conference unveils in Beijing

BEIJING, Jun. 13-The fifteenth China International Environmental Protection Exhibition and Conference (CIEPEC 2017), which was sponsored by MEP, MIIT, and the Beijing Municipal People’s Government, and organized by China Association of Environmental Protection Industry (CAEPI), opened in grander in Beijing China International Exhibition Center today.

The theme of the CIEPEC 2017 was “green, cycling, and low-carbon”, and the focus was the needs for the green development, the supply side reform, and the environmental governance technologies, equipment, and services, during the ongoing 13th Five-Year Plan period from 2016 to 2020. Eight exhibition halls showcased the key technologies and equipment for air and water pollution control, soil remediation and groundwater restoration, ecological restoration and conservation, environmental monitoring, indoor air purification, and solid waste disposal, in addition to the new booths on VOCs and vehicle emission control technologies and equipment.

More than 500 businesses from 25 provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions in China, as well as over 200 overseas businesses from 16 countries and regions including the U.S., Norway, Russia, Japan, ROK, and Hong Kong exhibited their technologies and equipment.

On the sidelines of the exhibition, the “2017 Conference on the Innovation-driven Development of Environmental Industries” was held, through 20 side events and over 40 technological report meetings, with the theme on “gather green consensuses and commit to environmental improvement”. The topics ranged from VOCs control, vehicle emission control, to sustainable environmental restoration, integrated urban water environment management, environmental monitoring and services, and environmental industry investment and financing. Bilateral exchanges were also held between China and the U.S., Italy, Canada, Norway, ROK, and Japan.

Nearly 400 speakers including delegates from MEP, NDRC, MOST, MIIT, and MHURD, industrial insiders at home and board, investors, and renowned business leaders voiced their opinions on the ongoing environmental trends and policies, cutting-edge technologies, and public concerns.
