The 14th China-ASEAN Expo held

The 14th China-ASEAN Expo and the 14th China-ASEAN Business and Investment Summit opened in Nanning Municipality of Guangxi Autonomous Region in South China on Sept. 12, 2017. Zhang Gaoli, a member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Political Bureau and Vice Premier of the State Council, presented at the opening ceremony and delivered an important statement.

Vice Minister Zhao Yingmin presented at the opening ceremony, visited the 2017 China-ASEAN International Environmental Exhibition, and exchanged views with Huang Weijing, Vice Chairman of the People’s Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, on the regional environmental protection effort, giving full play to the geographical advantages of Guangxi, and promoting the green Belt and Road initiative.

The China-ASEAN China Environmental Cooperation Forum (2017): Workshop on Urban Environmental Protection and Sustainable Development was held, and China-ASEAN (Guangxi) Pilot Base for Environmental Technology and Industrial Cooperation and Exchange was officially inaugurated on the sidelines of the Expo, in order to implement the proposal of China and ASEAN top leaders on strengthening the bilateral environmental cooperation.

Since it was first held in 2004, China-ASEAN Expo has aimed at “promoting the development, sharing-based cooperation, and development opportunities of China-ASEAN Free Trade Zone”, and played an important role in facilitating China-ASEAN friendly cooperation, serving the belt and road development, and advancing the international cooperation on production capacities.
