This standard is formulated for the purposes of enforcing the Environment Protection Law of the People’s Republic of China, and the Air Pollution Prevention and Control Law of the People’s Republic of China, preventing the pollution of the environment by emissions from light-duty hybrid electric vehicles, and improving the ambient air quality. This standard specifies the measurement methods and technical specifications of the exhaust pollutants, two-speed idle exhaust pollutants, pollutants from crankcase, evaporative pollutants, the durability of pollutant control devices, and the OBD system of positive-ignition light-duty hybrid electric vehicles in normal temperature and low temperature environment. It also specifies the measurement methods and technical specifications of the exhaust pollutants, exhaust gas under free acceleration, durability of pollutant control devices, and OBD system of compression-ignition light-duty hybrid electric vehicles under normal temperatures. This standard is the supplement to the Limits and measurement methods for emissions from light-duty vehicles (Ⅲ, Ⅳ) (GB 18352) and shall apply to the type test, check of conformity of production, and in-use vehicle compliance of light-duty hybrid electric vehicles at Stage Ⅳ and beyond.
