This standard provides the noise emission limits and measurement methods at boundaries of industrial enterprises and their fixed equipment. According to relevant laws and regulations, this standard has compulsory execution effect. This standard shall apply to the management, evaluation, and control of noise emission from industrial enterprises. Government organs, public institutions and entities that emit noise may also refer to this standard. This standard shall replace Standard of Noise at Boundary of Industrial Enterprises (GB 12348-90) and Method of Measuring Noise at Boundary of Industrial Enterprises (GB 12349-90) as of the day it goes to effect.
