This standard is developed for the purposes of enforcing the “Law of the People’s Republic of China on Environmental Protection”, “Environmental Quality Standard for Noise”, and “Technical Specifications for Environmental Noise Monitoring-Routine Monitoring for Urban Environmental Noise”, ensuring the monitoring of environmental noise in an orderly manner, and unifying the coding for routine monitoring points of urban environmental noise. This standard specifies the coding methods and rules for routine monitoring points of environmental noise in urban areas. It is the original version.
