This standard is formulated for the purpose of implementing Environmental Protection Law of the People’s Republic of China and Law of the People's Republic of China on Prevention and Control of Radioactive Pollution, preventing and controlling radioactive pollution, improving the environmental quality, and protecting the public health. This standard provides the minimum performance requirements and testing methods of the low and intermediate level radioactive waste form-cemented waste form (hereinafter referred to as the cemented waste form). This standard shall apply to the cemented waste form disposed near-surface, except large-volume cemented waste form. This standard is the amendment to the Performance requirements for low and intermediate level radioactive waste form-Cemented waste form (GB 14569.1-93). The standard Performance requirements for low and intermediate level radioactive waste form-Cemented waste form (GB 14569.1-93) shall be abolished as of the day this standard goes into effect.
