The current standard is developed for the purpose of implementation of Environmental Protection Law of the People’s Republic of China and Law of the People’s Republic of China on Prevention and Control of Environmental Pollution by Solid Waste, protecting the environment, ensuring human health and standardizing the methods for monitoring beryllium, nickel, copper and molybdenum in solid waste. The current standard specifies graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry for determining beryllium, nickel, copper and molybdenum in solid waste and its leachate. The current standard is released for the first time.
