This standard is formulated for the purposes of enforcing the Environment Protection Law of the People’s Republic of China and Law of the People’s Republic of China for the Prevention and Control of Pollution by Solid Wastes, strengthening the environmental supervision and management of PCBs-contaminated wastes, and setting standards for the clean-up, storage, transportation, treatment and disposal of (PCBs)-contaminated wastes.
