This standard is formulated for the purposes of enforcing the Environment Protection Law of the People’s Republic of China, the Water Pollution Prevention and Control Law of the People’s Republic of China, and the Action Plan for the Prevention and Control of Water Pollution, and deriving nutrient criteria for lakes in a science-based and standard approach.
