The current Standard specifies the emission standards of 33 air pollutants and presents various requirements for the implementation of the Standard. China applies the principle of no cross implementation of general emission standard and industrial standard in existing national air pollutant emission standard system. The current Standard is applicable to the management of emissions of air pollutants of existing pollution sources, EIA, design, check & acceptance of the completion of environmental protection facilities of construction projects as well as post-operation air pollutant emission management.
