The standard provides human olfactory method for the determination of odor concentration from exhaust of odor pollution sources and ambient air samples. It applies to determination of odor level from gas samples collected from various forms of emission from different odor sources and from ambient air samples. Samples herein include those contain only one kind of malodor substance and compound odor samples involving more than two kinds of odor substances. The method is not restricted by types and the number of types of odor substances, scope of concentration and proportion of contained substances.
