This standard is developed for the purposes of enforcing the Law of the People’s Republic of China on Environmental Protection, protecting the environment, safeguarding the public health, and setting standards for the determination of metal elements in soil and sediment. This standard specifies the inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry used for determination of 12 metal elements, which is, cadmium, cobalt, copper, chromium, manganese, nickel, lead, zinc, vanadium, arsenic, molybdenum, and antimony in soil and sediment.
