The current standard is developed for the purpose of implementation of Environmental Protection Law of the People’s Republic of China, reducing the impacts of light-duty vehicles on the environment and human health in the production and consumption process, protecting environment quality, and ensuring human health. The current standard specifies the requirements in areas such as pollutant emission, fuel consumption, interior noise, toxic and hazardous substances in materials, vehicle coating, recyclability and interior air quality of light-duty vehicles. The current standard is the revision of Technical Requirement for Environmental Labeling Products ── Light-duty Vehicles (HJ/T 182－2005). The current standard is applicable to certification of environmental labeling products in China.
