This standard is formulated for the purposes of enforcing the Environment Protection Law of the People’s Republic of China, and mitigating the impact of the manufacture and use of digital copying (including multi-function) devices on the environment. This standard specifies the environmental protection requirements for the design, manufacture, use, recovery, packaging, and instructions of the digital copying (including multi-function) devices.
