The current standard is formulated for the purpose of implementing the Environmental Protection Law of the People's Republic of China, Law of the People's Republic of China on Promotion of Clean Protection and Measures on Disclosure of Environmental Information (Trial), protecting the environment, improving environmental management level of enterprises and standardizing the disclosure of corporate information. The current standard specifies the framework, principle, procedures, language and method for the development of corporate environmental report The current standard is applicable to the development of environmental report of the enterprises within the territory of the People's Republic of China. The current standard is issued for the first time in China.
