The current standard is developed for the purpose of implementation of Environmental Protection Law of the People’s Republic of China and Suggestions of the State Council on Strengthening Major Work on Environmental Protection Work; enhancing eco environment management of mines; facilitating protection and restoration of eco environment in the process of development of mineral resources; guiding and standardizing the compilation of program (plan) on protection and restoration of eco environment of mines. The current standard specifies the principle, procedures, contents and technical requirements for developing the program (plan) for eco environment protection and reclamation of mines.
