This standard is formulated for the purposes of enforcing the Environment Protection Law of the People’s Republic of China, the Air Pollution Prevention and Control Law of the People’s Republic of China, and the Water Pollution Prevention and Control Law of the People’s Republic of China, and guiding and standardizing the self-monitoring of pollution sources from thermal power generating units and boilers. It specifies the general requirements for the self-monitoring of the pollution sources from thermal power generating units and boilers, the development of monitoring plans, and the basic contents and requirements for the information recording and reporting.
