Soil quality-Determination of total arsenic-Silver diethyldithiocarbamate spectrophotometry
(GB/T 17134-1997 putting into effect as of May 1, 1998)
Abstract:

The standard provides silver diethyldithiocarbamate spectrophotometry for the determination of total arsenic in soil. The detection limit is 0.5mg/kg (calculated by 1g sample). Stibium and sulfide cause positive interference with testing. Stibium under 300¦Ìg could be inhibited by KI-SnCL2. When the sample is undergoing oxidation, sulfur has been decomposed by nitric acid and would not affect the test. The tiny remnant of sulfide could be removed by absorbent cotton with lead acetate.
