For the purpose of environmental protection, this standard stipulates the requirements for the siting of domestic waste landfill sites, project designs, requirements for access to the landfill sites, working requirements, the requirements for closure of the sites, the thresholds for pollutant emissions and environmental monitoring. This standard shall apply to domestic waste landfill sites and not to the sites for disposal of industrial solid wastes and hazardous wastes.
