This standard is formulated for the purpose of implementing Law of People's Republic of China on the Prevention and Control of Environmental Pollution by Solid Wastes, preventing the import of solid wastes that can not be used as raw materials, regulating the examination and permission process for import of solid wastes used as raw materials, and controlling the environmental pollution caused by imported compressed piece of scrap automobile used as raw materials. This standard is one of the standards targeted for the environmental protection of imported solid wastes. This standard stipulates the requirements for environmental protection of compressed piece of scrap automobile as well as for the extent to which the scrap automobile is dismantled or compressed before the compressed piece is formed. This standard shall apply to the import management of compressed piece of scrap automobile with the H.S. Code of 7204.4900.10.
