Identification standards for hazardous wastes-Identification for extraction toxicity
GB 5085.3—2007 putting into effect as of Oct.1, 2007
Abstract:
 

This standard is formulated for the purpose of implementing the Law of the People's Republic of China on Environmental Protection and Law of the People's Republic of China on the Prevention and Control of Environmental Pollution by Solid Wastes, preventing and controlling the environmental pollution caused by hazardous wastes, enhancing the management of hazardous wastes, protecting the environment, and safeguarding people's health. This standard stipulates the criteria to identify the hazardous wastes with extraction toxicity. This standard shall apply to the identification for extraction toxicity of solid wastes produced by any of the production and living activities and other activities. This standard shall be subject to compulsory enforcement according to relevant laws. This standard shall be effective as of October 1, 2007, and the Identification Standards for Hazardous Wastes-Identification for Extraction Toxicity (GB 5085.3-1996) shall be annulled simultaneously.
