This standard is formulated for the purpose of implementing Environmental Protection Law of the People’s Republic of China and Law of the People’s Republic of China on Prevention and Control of Water Pollution, setting standards for the construction, operation and management of slaughterhouse and meat processing wastewater treatment projects, preventing and controlling environmental pollution, and protecting the environmental and human health.
This standard provides the technical specifications for the design, construction, environmental check and acceptance, and operation and management of slaughterhouse and meat processing wastewater treatment projects.
This standard shall apply to wastewater treatment projects built for new, rebuilt and expanded slaughterhouse and meat processing plants, and may be the technical basis for the environmental impact assessment, feasibility study, engineering design, construction management, check and acceptance upon completion, and environmental check and acceptance, as well as the operation and management of the above-said projects.
