This standard is formulated for the purpose of implementing Environmental Protection Law of the People’s Republic of China and Law of the People’s Republic of China on Prevention and Control of Water Pollution, setting standards for the construction of wastewater treatment projects by coagulation and flocculation process, and improving the environmental quality. This standard provides the technical specifications for the general requirements, process design, equipment selection, testing and control, and operation and management of the coagulation and flocculation process adopted for wastewater treatment projects. This standard shall apply to the design, construction, environmental check and acceptance, and operation and management of municipal wastewater or industrial wastewater treatment projects which use the coagulation and flocculation process. It may also be the technical basis for the feasibility study, environmental impact assessment, process design, environmental check and acceptance during construction, and operation and management of these projects. This standard is the first version.
