The current standard is developed for the purpose of implementing Environmental Protection Law of the People's Republic of China and Law of the People's Republic of China on Prevention and Control of Environmental Pollution by Solid Waste, standardizing the recovery, recycle and reuse of used mineral oil, preventing and controlling the pollution by used mineral oil, protecting the environment and ensuring human health. The current standard specifies such contents as pollution control technology and environmental management requirements during collection, transport, storage, utilization and treatment of used mineral oil. The current standard is applicable to pollution control during the collection, storage, transport, utilization and treatment of used mineral oil. It can also be used to guide site selection, construction of used mineral oil enterprises as well as post-construction pollution control activities. The current standard is released for the first time in China.
