The current standard is developed for the purpose of implementing Environmental Protection Law of the People's Republic of China, Law of the People's Republic of China on the Prevention and Control of Water Pollution and Discharge Standard of Water Pollutants for Iron and Steel Industry; standardizing the construction and operational management of waste water treatment and reuse projects of iron and steel industry and protecting the environment and human health. The current standard specifies the technical requirements such as general requirements, technological design, main process equipment and materials, test and control, construction, check & acceptance and operation for waste water treatment and reuse projects in iron and steel industry. The current standard is released for the first time in China.
