The standard was formulated for the purpose of implementing Environmental Protection Law of the People’s Republic of China and Law on the Prevention and Control of Water Pollution, regulating design, construction and operation of coking wastewater control projects, preventing environmental pollution and protecting the environment and human health. The standard provides technical requirements on design of coking wastewater control projects, construction and check& acceptance as well as operation and management. The standard is for guidance only. This is the first issuance of the standard.
