The standard was formulated for the purpose of implementing Environmental Protection Law of the People’s Republic of China and Law on the Prevention and Control of Water Pollution, regulating the construction and management of projects on EGSB reactor for wastewater treatment, preventing environmental pollution and protecting the environment and human health. The standard provides technical requirements on the design of EGSB reactors, check and control, construction and acceptance, operation and maintenance. The standard is for guidance only. This is the first issuance of the standard.
