The standard was formulated for the purpose of implementing Environmental Protection Law of the People’s Republic of China and the Law of People’s Republic of China on Prevention and Control of Pollution by Solid Wastes, regulating collection, storage and transportation of hazardous waste and protecting the environment and human health. The standard provides technical requirements on collection, storage and transportation of hazardous waste. The standard is for guidance only. This is the first issuance of the standard.
