This Standard is formulated for the purpose of implementing the Environmental Protection Law of the People's Republic of China, Regulations on Environmental Management of Construction Projects and Technical Guidelines for Environmental Impact Assessment. The current Standard specifies the general method and requirements for environmental impact assessment of atmospheric environment. It is applicable to atmospheric EIA of new, reform or expanded construction projects. Urban or regional atmospheric EIA may apply this Standard accordingly.
