The current standard is developed for the purpose of implementing Environmental Protection Law of the People's Republic of China, Law of the People's Republic of China on Environmental Impact Assessment and Regulations on the Administration of Construction Project Environmental Protection, standardizing and guiding environmental impact assessment of construction projects of pharmaceutical industry. The current standard specifies the general principle, contents, methods and technical requirements for environmental impact assessment of construction projects of pharmaceutical industry. The current standard is applicable to environmental impact assessment of any new, reform, expansion and relocation of pharmaceutical construction project. Environmental impact assessment of construction projects that manufacture veterinary drugs and pharmaceutical intermediates may refer to the current standard. The current standard is issued for the first time in China.
