The current standard is developed for the purpose of implementing Environmental Protection Law of the People's Republic of China, improving energy efficiency and reducing the impacts of lighting products on the environment and human health in the process of production, utilization, recycling and reuse process. The current standard specifies the terminology and definition, basic requirements, technical contents and testing methods for environmental labeling product ©¤ Lighting Source. The current standard is applicable to single capped fluorescent lamps, double-capped fluorescent lamps, self-balanced fluorescent lamps, high voltage sodium lamp, metal halide lamp and self-balanced LED lamp for general lighting purpose. The current standard shall replace HJ/T 230-2006 as of the date of implementation.
