The standard was formulated for the purpose of implementing the Environmental Protection Law of the People’s Republic of China, reducing the harmful effects of commercial form printing on the environment and human health, improving environmental quality and better making use of and conserving resources. The standard provides requirements on raw and accessory printing materials for commercial forms, environmental control in the process of printing and limits of hazardous substances in the printed matter. This is the first issuance of the standard.
