This technical guideline is formulated for the purpose of implementing Environmental Impact Assessment Law of the People's Republic of China and Regulations on the Administration of Construction Project Environmental Protection, protecting the environment, and standardizing the environmental protection check and acceptance of water conservancy and hydropower projects upon their completion. This technical guideline provides the procedures and technical specifications for environmental protection check and acceptance of water conservancy and hydropower projects upon their completion. This technical guideline shall apply to the environmental protection check and acceptance of such large-scale water conservancy and hydropower projects as flood control, hydropower, irrigation, and water supply projects upon their completion. The environmental protection check and acceptance of small-scale water conservancy and hydropower projects as well as navigation and hydropower projects upon their completion may refer to this standard.
