The current standard is developed for the purpose of implementing Environmental Protection Law of the People's Republic of China and Law of the People's Republic of China on the Prevention and Control of Water Pollution, and standardizing the technical specifications for technical performance of water quality automatic online monitor of chromium (VI) and improving the capacity of our country in monitoring of water environment. The current standard specifies the function indicators, testing method and technical requirements for water quality automatic online monitor of chromium (VI). The current standard is applicable to the production, application option and performance test of water quality automatic online monitor of six-valence chromium compounds in surface water, sewage and industrial effluent. The current standard is issued for the first time in China.
