Water quality- Determination of barium- Flame atomic absorption spectrophotometry
HJ 603-2011 replacing GB/T 15506-1995 and putting into effect as of Jun.1, 2011
Abstract:

The current standard is developed for the purpose of implementing Environmental Protection Law of the People's Republic of China and Law of the People's Republic of China on the Prevention and Control of Water Pollution, protecting the environment, ensuring public health and standardizing the determination method for barium in water. The current standard specifies the flame atomic absorption spectrometry for determination of barium in water. The current standard is applicable to the determination of soluble and total barium in high concentration of waste water. The current standard is the revision of Water quality — Determination of barium — Atomic absorption spectrometry (GB/T 15506-1995). The national environmental protection standard “Water quality-Determination of barium-Atomic absorption spectrometry (GB/T 15506-1995)” approved and issued by the former State Environmental Protection Administration on March 15, 1995 shall be nullified beginning from the date when the current standard goes into effect.
