This technical criteria is formulated for the purpose of implementing such laws and regulations as Environmental Protection Law of the People's Republic of China, National Regulations on the Management of Environmental Monitoring and Regulations on the Management of Radioactive Environment. This technical criteria specifies such contents as radiation environmental quality monitoring, monitoring of radiation pollution sources, monitoring of safe transport of radioactive substances as well as the monitoring items, monitoring sites, sampling methods, data processing, QA for the decommissioning of radiation facilities, waste disposal and emergency response to radiation accidents, etc. It also specifies the format and contents for monitoring report.
