This Standard specifies the management objectives and basic requirements for the design and operation of each link including the generation, collection, treatment, transportation, storage and disposal of radioactive waste. It is applicable to the management of radioactive waste generated in each stage of the nuclear fuel circulation as well as the radioactive waste generated during the production and application of isotopes. The management of the radioactive waste generated from other nuclear facilities and practice may also comply with the Standard accordingly.
