With reference to recommended international principles, methods and some examples, this regulation was formulated to meet China's pressing need to decommission nuclear facilities. The calculation adopted China's recipe and some practical parameters according to our country's national situation and recently recommended values by the international community was used for internal dose conversion factor. Annex A provides related calculation models and parameters for the convenience of making reference to the assumptions and conditions for deduction. This standard is the first of its kind and will take effect as of Dec. 1, 2000.
