This standard is formulated for the purposes of enforcing the Environment Protection Law of the People’s Republic of China and Law of the People’s Republic of China for the Prevention and Control of Pollution by Solid Wastes, strengthening the management of solid wastes, protecting the environment, and safeguarding the human health. This standard is formulated by the Department of Soil Environment Management and Department of Science, Technology, and Standards of Ministry of Environmental Protection. This standard is drafted by Chinese Research Academy of Environmental Sciences. It was endorsed by Ministry of Environmental Protection on May 27, 2017 and shall enter into force on Oct. 1, 2017. Ministry of Environmental Protection shall be responsible for the interpretation of this standard.
