This standard is formulated for the purpose of implementing the Law of the People's Republic of China on Environmental Protection and Law of the People's Republic of China on the Prevention and Control of Environmental Pollution by Solid Wastes, protecting the environment and preventing and controlling pollution during the collection and recycle of waste plastics, and meet the needs of management. This standard stipulates the requirements for supervising the pollution control and environmental protection during the collection, storage, transportation, pre-treatment and recycle of waste plastics. This standard shall apply to the collection and recycle of various waste plastics including the imported ones but not the waste plastics from medical and hazardous wastes.
