The current standard is developed for the purpose of implementation of laws and regulations such as Environmental Protection Law of the People’s Republic of China, Law of the People’s Republic of China on Prevention and Control of Environmental Pollution by Solid Waste, Law of the People’s Republic of China on Prevention and Control of Atmospheric Pollution, Law of the People’s Republic of China on Promotion of Circular Economy and the Decision of the State Council on Implementing the Outlook on Scientific Development and Enhancing Environmental Protection, standardizing the management of co-processing of solid waste in cement kilns, preventing secondary pollution of the process and products of co-processing solid waste in cement kilns, protecting eco environment and human health. The current standard specifies technical requirements for environmental protection in areas such as selection, construction, reform and operation of the facilities co-processing solid waste in cement kilns as well as pollution control.
