This standard is formulated for the purposes of enforcing the Environment Protection Law of the People’s Republic of China, Water Pollution Prevention and Control Law of the People’s Republic of China, Air Pollution Prevention and Control Law of the People’s Republic of China, and Law of the People’s Republic of China on the Prevention and Control of Pollution by Solid Wastes, and setting standards for the monitoring technologies and actions of dioxins. This standard specifies the environmental monitoring specifications for dioxins in the water, air, soil, sediments, and solid wastes.
