The current standard is developed for the purpose of implementation of Environmental Protection Law of the People's Republic of China, Law of the People's Republic of China on Environmental Impact Assessment and Regulations on the Administration of Construction Project Environmental Protection, protecting the environment and standardizing environmental impact assessment of iron and steel construction projects. The current standard specifies the general principle, contents, methods and technical requirements for environmental impact assessment of iron and steel construction projects. Annexes A, B and C of the current standard are informative annexes. The current standard is released for the first time.
