This standard is developed for the purpose of standardizing the implementation of Environment Quality Standard for Surface Water (GB3838-2002). This standard specifies the ultraviolet spectrophotometry for the determination of nitrate-nitrogen in surface water and groundwater. This standard is applicable to the determination of nitrate-nitrogen in surface water and groundwater. With this method, the lowest detection concentration is 0.08mg/L with minimum detection limit of 0.32 mg/L and maximum detection limit of 4mg/L.
