The current standard is developed for the purpose of implementing Environmental Protection Law of the People's Republic of China, reducing the impacts of scanner on environment and human health during the production and utilization process, protecting environment quality and ensuring public health. The current standard specifies the terminology and definition, basic requirements, technical contents and testing methods for environmental labeling product ─ scanners. The current standard is applicable to various kinds of scanners. The current standard is not applicable to other equipment with attached scanning functions. The current standard is issued for the first time in China.
