The current standard is developed for the purpose of implementation of Environmental Protection Law of the People’s Republic of China, Law of the People’s Republic of China on the Prevention and Control of Atmospheric Pollution, Law of the People’s Republic of China on the Prevention and Control of Water Pollution and Law of the People’s Republic of China on the Prevention and Control of Environmental Noise Pollution; and standardizing and guiding the transferring of environmental monitoring information. The current standard specifies transferring mode, transferring process, format of transferred data and code definition of environmental monitoring information. Annex A and Annex B of the current standard are normative annexes and Annex C is informative annex.  The current standard is released for the first time.
